There is a very cool new online tool on the market to help you find the best prices on 2010 Camaros — or any other models — near you. It’s called Truecar.com. Truecar aggregates real sales data from all over the country to tell you juicy datapoints such as:
- Sticker Price (MSRP)
- What Dealers Really Pay for the Model
- What Other Recent Buyers Have Paid (in your zip, region, and nationally!)
- What Constitutes a Good, Great, and Overpaid Price
To test the site, we requested a price report for a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro 2dr Coupe SS in zip code 28801 (Asheville, NC). The process took only about 1 minute, and here’s what we learned:
- True Cost to Dealers: $30,248
- Sticker Price: $31,795
- Average Price Paid: $31,051
Below we’ve included an image of the report. You can even print the report to bring to your dealer. We don’t have to deal you what an amazing amount of leverage this little baby will give you in the sales office.
The Importance of Financing Pre-Approval
Of course this price report doesn’t automatically give you the best deal possible. As we all know, your financing rate and fees constitute nearly as significant a cost factor your negotiated vehicle price does. The last thing you want to do is walk into the dealer with your price report in hand, get the price you think you want, and realize down the road that the auto finance manager simply rolled your savings into a more expensive car loan. We suggest that you arranged your financing beforehand. You can apply here: car loans online. With financing already approved, you focus solely on what’s most important: getting the very best deal possible on your new Camaro.
